Colleen Hoover is an American author known for her bestselling novels in the romance genre. She was born on December 11, 1979, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and grew up in Saltillo, Texas. Hoover attended Texas A&M-Commerce, where she studied social work. After graduation, she worked as a social worker and teacher before becoming a full-time writer in 2012.

Hoover’s first novel, “Slammed,” was self-published in 2012 and became a bestseller on Amazon. Since then, she has published numerous novels, including “Point of Retreat,” “Hopeless,” “Maybe Someday,” and “It Ends with Us,” which has won several awards.

Hoover’s novels often deal with themes such as love, family, and overcoming adversity. She has a loyal fan base and her books have been translated into more than 20 languages.
